Read the letter signed by over 100 organizations in support of the courageous Maya Achi women who are bringing their sexual violence and crimes against humanity case forward. In addition to the organizational signatures, more than 100 individuals from around the world signed on to the letter.
Last week, the women and their lawyers presented a petition to recuse Judge Claudette Dominguez from hearing the case. At the same time, the victims of the Ixil genocide and the CREOMPAZ forced disappearance case also filed petitions to recuse Judge Dominguez from those cases.
